Clear terms for sourcing fee payments, escrow protection, and refund requests
Sourcing fees are held securely in escrow. This means the funds are not released to the sourcer until the deal reaches the agreed progression stage.
If the deal does not proceed and a refund is approved in line with our refund policy, the funds can be returned. This provides added protection and transparency for investors.
A sourcing fee is a payment made by an investor to access full deal details, contact the sourcer, and progress towards completing a property investment deal.
This fee compensates the sourcer for their work in identifying, packaging, and presenting the investment opportunity. It is separate from any property purchase costs.
Refund requests may be submitted while the sourcing fee remains held in escrow and the deal has not reached completion stage.
Refunds may be considered in circumstances including:

Once a deal reaches the agreed completion milestone (as determined by KajokuConnect administrators), the sourcing fee is released from escrow to the sourcer(s).
After escrow release, refunds are no longer available as the sourcer has fulfilled their obligations and earned the fee.
If the deal involves multiple sourcers (primary and co-sourcer), the fee is automatically split according to the agreed percentages at the time of release.
